Hippotherapy as a method of treatment within comprehensive rehabilitation system of children with disabilities.
PAŠKOVÁ, Klára
This bachelor thesis describes hippotherapy, which is one of the important treatment methods for people with disabilities. I pay particular attention to how it has affected and affects their state of health in accordance with other therapies of a comprehensive rehabilitation system. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focuses on various definitions of disability and on individual groups of people with disabilities. It also briefly defines zootherapy and its division. A significant part is devoted to hippotherapy itself, which is crucial for this work. It describes the members of the hipporehabilitation team, the course of hippotherapy, possible indications and contraindications, among other criteria that are important for choosing a suitable horse. The last chapter focuses on coordinated rehabilitation and its individual means. In the empirical part, the legal guardians of selected children were interviewed through semi-structured interviews. The information found on the process and benefits of hippotherapy was written down into individual case studies. The collected data from the practical part confirmed the complexity and effectiveness of hippotherapy as a treatment method. This bachelor thesis can be helpful to students, but also to the general public to easier orientation and understanding of hipporehabilitation, subsequently hippotherapy.
Use of methods of animotheraphy in the care of children with physical and multiple disabilities.
ERHARTOVÁ, Nicola
Bachelor thesis deals with the Use of methods of animotheraphy in the care of children with physical and multiple disabilities. In this work I describe animotherapy and thein course in the care of children with physical, mental and combined disabilities. In the first part of the bachelor thesis I deal with the definition of animotherapy, the definitions of separate types of animotherapy, such as canistherapy, hippotherapy, felinetherapy, apotherapy, ornithotherapy, doplhintherapy, caviotherapy, lamatherapy, small animal therapy, livestock therapy and exotic animal therapy. Furthermore, in the first part I deal with the definition of individual disabilities. The second part of the bachelor thesis includes qualitative research, in which information was obtained through interview with canisterapeuts. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out chat are the posibilities for the use of selected therapies in coordinated care in selected facilities.
Hippotherapy of children pacients with cerebral palsy
ČIHÁKOVÁ, Kateřina
Cerebral palsy is a lifetime neurodevelopmental disease of the brain, resulting from damage to the developing brain prenatal, perinatal or postnatal. The disease is mainly manifested by motor disabilities and its prognosis depends mainly on early diagnosis and treatment. Nowadays, an alternative method of hippotherapy is increasingly being used. Hippotherapy is a form of animotherapy that uses a specially trained horse. This therapy is very often included in comprehensive rehabilitation care not only in clients with cerebral palsy. The interest of this bachelor's thesis is to learn about these themes and learn the impact of hippotherapy of pacients with cerebral palsy.
Influence of horse breed and type of terrain on activation of the abdominal muscles in hippotherapy
Fraňková, Věra ; Lopot, František (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title: Influence of horse breed and type of terrain on activation of the abdominal muscles in hippotherapy. Purposes: The aim of the study is to find out if horse breed and type of terrain approaches muscle activation in the position of unassisted sitting Methods: The study is of intraindividual character and incudes theoretical and practical part. The activation of abdominal muscles was measured by using surface electromyography and kinematic analysis. Results: There was differance between muscle activation with a different type of terrain. Horse breed does not influence a muscle activation but the individual biomechanic of each horse. Key words: hippotherapy, hipporehabilitation, horse breed, activation of abdominal muscles, unassisted seat, therapeutic horseback riding, electromyography

At hipotherapy is being used a three dimensional (multidimensional) horse motion. Horse's spine moves up - down, forward - backward, right - left. Imitating a mechanisms of human walking, which leads to relaxation of spasticity. Impulses are transmitted onto back which brings interaction of impeller and back muscles, stand up pose, and posture interference. All this brings a walking improvements, movements coordination, balance and consolidation of a flabby muscles. Each horse has a different nature...
Use of animal assisted therapy and hippotherapy for children with physical and sensory disabilities and its application
Jiroušková, Alžběta ; Jančaříková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to determine the influence of assisted therapy of dogs and horses for people with musculoskeletal disabilities and sensory impairments. The operational objective is to define the status and position of a therapy with the assistance of a dog and a horse in the context of the complex rehabilitation of a client. The theoretical part concentrates on the issues of zootherapy and zooasistance as supportive methods for easing muscle spasms, the development of fine and gross motor skills, development of verbal and nonverbal communication and development of orientation in space. In the research part of the thesis there are used qualitative techniques of data collection (history and observation), all rounded off by grounded theory. By the carried out research there were found positive manifestations in both the social and psychological areas, as well as in the areas of communication and development of fine and gross motor skills of children with disabilities.
Intensive hippotherapy in children diagnosed with infantile paralysis and its short-term and intermediate effect
Kopecká, Tereza ; Pivec, Martin (advisor) ; Kulichová, Jana (referee)
Hippotherapy belongs to the family of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation methods. It especially benefits the rehabilitation care of complex neurological patients. This paper theoretically examines the methodology of hippotherapy. Further, this paper examines an evaluative survey of 21 subjects after intensive hippotherapy who were initially diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The immediate, short and medium term effect of the therapy was exami-ned. For the evaluation the intercondylic index, Collis symptom and position reaction tests were used. The testing is complemented with a questionnaire filled in by parents with 11 pa-rameters, which included changes in the functions of knowledge and psyche of the child. The results show that there is a statistically significant improvement in all examined parameters after immediate and weekly therapy. Thus this method can be recommended as a possible approach to the therapy of children with cerebral palsy. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Vorlová, Lucie ; Šumníková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Valešová Malecová, Barbara (referee)
The diploma thesis considers possibilities of using therapies for preschool children with multiple disabilities in special nursery schools and in common nurseries with special classes. Provides an overview of therapies which mostly occur in schools. Based on the theoretical knowledge about single therapies identifies, how are integrated into the educational process in kindergartens.
